Teaching in Dubai
Teaching jobs in Dubai
Dubai is the jewell of the Middle East and has experienced significant growth over the last thirty years. Expatriates have flocked from everywhere to join in the lifestyle of Dubai. As a result, international schools have cropped up across the country for expatriates and Emiratis alike.
The country is awash with teaching jobs for skilled practitioners and like many places, international schools in Dubai are often looking for a balance of local teachers as well as qualified international teachers. Some schools teach the British curriculum whereas others follow international syllabuses.

Living in Dubai
Dubai is part of the United Arab Emirates which is bordered by Oman and Saudi Arabia. It is one of the major economies in the Middle East and is home to some of the largest conglomerates on the planet. Dubai has combined the natural beauty of the desert sands with impressive man-made architecture.
For international teachers working there, they benefit from living in a safe environment where crime is low as well as a large, established expat community. The country is clean and the infrastructure, including public transport and motorways are impressively efficient. Shopping malls, restuarant and beaches stretch for as far as the eyes can see.
The cost of living is reasonable with a 1-bedroom apartment in the capital costing £1,300 per month. A meal at an inexpensive restaurant costs around $6.70 and you can hire a nanny or housekeeper if you wish for £300 per month.
